Winemakers Notes: Catherine Marshall
A wonderful wine that has been aged for 18 months, in small French oak barrels. Aromas upfront of cassis, black currant and black cherry with cedar notes underlying. Smooth and full in the mouth giving a rich core to this medium bodied wine. Sumptuous throughout supported by leathery tannins. This wine will mature gracefully for another 10+ years if cellared correctly.
Compliments most red meats: roasts, stews, steaks, venison and ostrich just to menon a few. Truly a divine wine on its own and just as enjoyable with fine food! Best served at 18 ̊C/65 ̊F
Alc. 13.5, RS 3.5g/l, pH 3.75, TA 5.5g/l
