2013 Shiraz
Varietal 100% Shiraz Region Stellenbosch, South Africa Vineyards A single, 12-year-old vineyard, situated on a south‐west facing slope between 190 and 220m above sea level con‐ sisng of decomposed granite and loam soils. Winemakers Notes: Christan Kuun Made in a traditional Rhone style, this full bodied Shiraz offers intense plum and dark fruit flavours along with white pepper and spicy smokiness. With 24 months of careful oak maturation, in small French oak barrels, this wine has ripe and firm tannins for solid excellent structure and well balanced acid making it superbly complex. This Shiraz has the potential to age for another 10 years if cellared correctly. Pairings This fine example of a prime Shiraz will compliment any meat based meal but will also impress the most discerning palate on it’s own.
